Find out about all pre-match events in 52nd edition of the Trofeu Taronja curtain-raiser
Gates will open at 7:30 pm enjoy all the pre-match activities before the match against Eintracht Frankfurt
encia CF will play this Saturday at 9 pm kick-off time in the 52nd edition of the Trofeu Taronja curtain-raiser against Eintracht Frankfurt.
After the pre-season tests at the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna, the Philips Stadion (Eindhoven) and Elland Road (Leeds), the team returns to the Camp de Mestalla to play the last game before the start of the competition and will do so on an evening in which, as in every edition of this very special event every summer, before the ball is kicked off there will be various tributes and events for the fans.
From 7:30 pm onwards, the gates will open and, from then on, the stadium will have a DJ on the sidelines to entertain the fans before the match.
After the warm-up of the players of both teams, there will be a tribute to the four Valencian players who have recently won the European Championship: Yarek Gasiorowski and Raúl Jiménez (UEFA European Under-19 champions in Northern Ireland) and Ainhoa Alguacil and Olga San Nicolás (UEFA European Under-19 champions in Lithuania), who will take to the pitch and offer their medals to the fans.
Later on, it will be time for the squad to take to the pitch by lines and line up facing the stands for the traditional team photograph that traditionally takes place at the Trofeu Taronja curtain- raiser.
The pre-match events will end with the playing of the Regional Anthem of the Comunitat Valenciana by the youth band and the mixed choir of the Sociedad Unión Musical 'Santa Cecilia' of Guadassuar and just before kick-off, a minute's silence will be held in memory of Daniel Mañó, winner of the 1954 Cup and the two Copa de Ferias, and fan Rafael Pascual Peris, a season ticket holder for more than 50 years.
Valencia CF will play the match in the orange and green Third Kit, which pays homage to the shirt worn by the team in the 1974-75 season, and a representation of players from that squad will be responsible for presenting the winner with the Trofeu Taronja, which from this edition presents a renewed and 80% sustainable design since it has been made from wood reused from the stalls in the Plaza Redonda square in Valencia.
